Swiss Chocolate

You guys guessed it!  It'll be interesting who she'll look like as she grows older.  The girl is growing in leaps and bounds, she can roll front to back, suck her thumb (on purpose :P), grab stuff, put herself to sleep without a sound or her thumb...  This is all within the last 2-3  weeks!

Oh and in other news, Anthony can tie his shoes!!  He could almost do it, but he was just being lazy about it.  Then, Papy told him about a week ago that Louise (who is 2 months younger) could tie hers.  Well, that's all the motivation he needed, he learned right away!!  On Monday, the teacher was getting him and Naomi (the only other kid in his class who knows how) to help her with the other kids!  btw, he'll be 5 in May.

We are off in a bit to visit Laurent and fam for the weekend so the kids can egg hunt with their cousins and maybe do a bit of skiing.  I can't think of a better place to hunt chocolate... hmmmm, maybe Belgium!

Happy Easter everyone!

Pionta Guinness, le do thoil

In honour of St. Pat and Easter in just a few days, I dressed my child in a Christmas outfit!!  It was Philippe's and she was too small for it at Christmas.  Matt got it for him and I absolutely LOVE it!!  Too stinkin' cute!  He wore it well into February when he outgrew it so I guess it's ok that she wore it today :D  So the question is... who is who?

Mrs. Weasley's clock

So, most people that know me know that I love the Harry Potter books.  Helen and Angela, my Harry reading buddies, know how much I adore Mrs. Weasley and how much I covet her clock, not to mention her magical cooking and housekeeping skills.  Oh, how I wish I were Mrs. Weasley.  Here's a run down on the clock from the books for those who haven't read Harry yet...

Mrs. Weasley glanced at the grandfather clock in the corner. Harry liked this clock. It was completely useless if you wanted to know the time, but otherwise very informative. It had nine golden hands, and each of them was engraved with one of the Weasley family's names. There were no numerals around the face, but descriptions of where each family member might be. "Home," "school," and "work" were there, but there was also "traveling," "lost," "hospital," "prison," and, in the position where the number twelve would be on a normal clock, "mortal peril."

Yesterday, Helen came over with my very own Weasley clock!!!  There are less kids and hands and she conveniently left off 'mortal peril' but it's perfect!!  We also have a few clock inside jokes, so it's the perfect gift!  Thanks Helen :DWeasleyclock  Click on the picture to get a better look.

tubes, visitors and a birthday!

Thanks everyone for all the comments and emails for Jacques.  he did great, he even got a certificte for being so brave!  The worst part about the day was Jacques' roommate's mom.  She complained the entire time!  Sheesh people, just be happy!!  It's amazing the difference in him, he's happier, better behaved and he's reading a lot better.  It just sucks that he can't go swimming.

The next day Amber and crew arrived.  We had a nice relaxing weekend with them, I hope Sven didn't mind that we didn't do too much with them, but with two little babies, it's not easy.  The hubbies were so great  to take the older kiddos so Amber and I were able to talk in real life for a change.  I'll send you to her flckr account for photos, since I'm so pokey!  She got all of ours (we swapped photos before she left) edited and online before I got 3 even resized!!  Yes, those are birthday photos!  It was nice to have someone pick up my camera and take fab photos!  Thanks Amber!!

I was so excited for my day I kept waking up the night before, I felt like a little kid! Actually I felt like Krista, LOL!!  Sorry, I missed your call couz, Abby's song made me cry!  Sorry I missed you too Nicole!  Julien was one of the first to call and he told me that in Spain they don't say 33, they say the age of Christ.  I like that, very appropriate concidering it's lent.

Amber brought an enormous amount of clothes for Juliet, all Georgia's hand-me-downs.  It looked like a fairy threw up in my living room at one point!  I gave her a lot if the boys' stuff as well.

Juliet had her 3 mo check up Monday morning, she's doing great, despite being sick.  She got two needles, poor girl and hasn't quite been herself, but her cold is just about gone and the effects of the needles didn't last too long.

The bigs are back to school after 2 weeks off and I don't know what to do with myself, so much to choose from.  But, Stacy J's Library of Memories has started back up and I'm retaking it as an alumni, so I finally was able to get a good start today.
