Santa's Helpers Workshop

Lisa Harris from helps you make fantastic holiday gifts this season that are easy and inexpensive.  She makes giving handmade gifts a no-brainer! I'm planning on making the tea and hot choclate holders!

Mary Moseley and Jackie Lyals from are also here to help you make gifts this Christmas, but this time with your photos.  Take someone's breath away when they open a gift with your favourite photo.

December Solution

Melissa Shanhun from has a fantastic way to help make scrapbooking your December fast and easy with her amazing December Solution.  It includes a workshop, scrapbooking kit, templates and so much more to make a December Daily album or any other type of Christmas scrapbooking.

Cassel from the Scrapbook Campus has a wonderful calendar class in the bundle. It's the perfect gift idea and she walks you through to make it fast and easy.  Whether or not you use Paintshop Pro, you can still use her class.  Paintshop Pro offers a 30 day trial but the calendar can also be made from any other software that you feel comfortable with, like Photoshop.

Karen Fitting from has another solution!  This ready made calendar with her gorgeous flower photos will be a beautiful addition to any home in 2015.

Connie Hanks from has a fun advent calendar project, with different activities to do  eachday leading up to the big day.  These activities are for everyone, but I really can't wait to do them with my children :D

Jen Wright from also has a countdown calendar with activities. This one is for 12 days and has more traditional activities. I want to do this after Christmas to countdown the 12 days of Christmas until Epiphany, it's a big deal here in Luxembourg.

Upcycled Christmas

Gina Zee, from has some fun projects to decorate without breaking the bank and with an earth friendly heart, by using what's on hand. I know some little hands that want to make that owl! There's also an advent calendar, decorations and more!

Jen Funk from has a beautiful project that just makes me want to curl up by the fire and cross stitch!  I don't know what it is about Christmas, but I love to get crafty with other materials besides paper.

Kristie Sloan from has another awesome class, all about art journaling. What better way to document your December memories than with an art journal, so meaningful.  She'll walk you through the basics and make you fall in love with art journaling :D

A Meaningful Gift for Everyone on Your Holiday List This Year

Of course if you don't have a small children in your life, you can get older children to take photos, use your own art or use month-themed photos.

These calendars are so easy, you just need to scan or take of photo of their drawings and upload them to your favourite photo printer, granted that they make calendars ;)

12 is a great number for dividing things up. No matter if you have 1, 2, 3 or 4 children, it all works out to an even number of drawings for each child.  But, when I 'only' had 5 children I found a way around it.  For 2 of the months, they would each draw the same thing together on the same page, for example one Easter egg or one Christmas gift each.

When they were too little to draw but old enough to colour, I would sketch out a little drawing for them to colour in.  This also served as a model for the older ones to copy. Young-children-can-helpHector was only just two when he coloured in these lily of the valley leaves.

It's also a good idea regardless, to sketch out sample pictures, making sure that you keep the designs simple.  Not only is it easier for their little hands to draw, but they also tire of drawing so many. The easier it is, the better.

When they were too little to even hold a pencil I used photos of them with the theme of the month in mind.

On the front I always add our Christmas card photo for that year.

Holiday-calendar-coversCedric is in the 2013 photo, he was born in time for Christmas, but I had the calendars all made up before he was born, so he didn't contribute :D

What is your go to Christmas gift?

Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

This is my Christmas Season album for this year.  As soon as I saw this Teresa Collins album back when it came out, I knew I needed it for my version of December Daily.  I do an extended season, starting with the first of December (but, sometimes Saint Nicholas celebrations are late November) and I go to Epiphany (Jan 6) both are really big here in my part of Europe.  It's a big album for me and I usually don't get it done until Febuary ;)

Click here for a video run thorugh of my Christmas album from last year.
