Knitting is one of my favourite activities at the moment. I'm not one who likes to sit idle. While watching TV or a movie, I fold clothes, when we go somewhere in the car, even 30 mins away, I need a book or something to do. Even in morning traffic, I can just sit there doing nothing, even though we are usually only stuck for 5 mins or so LOL! I have knitting in my car so that I can knit during that time! At the end of my pregnancy, there wasn't a whole lot of activities left that I could do, except for knitting. Knitting kept my hands occupied so that I wouldn't go crazy just sitting around because I was too tired to do anything else ;) I kept casting on new projects and nothing is really finished, except that sweater for Hector.
Boy projects on my needles at the moment include a sweater for my DH that was supposed to be for Christmas, but now it's for his birthday in a month's time (don't worry he doesn't read my blog and he doesn't know what DH means anyway, LOL!!). It's almost done, just about 1/3 or so of a sleeve left. It's a pattern from the Yarn Girl's Guide to Knits for all Seasons.
Next, is a cardigan for Anthony. It's been a challenge knitting with a French pattern (from Bergere de France), but I'm getting along okay. I just hope to finish it before it's too small for him!
And just recently I cast on this sweater for Jacques. It's because of SouleMama, everytime she shows us a project that she's finished, I feel the need to make one too. She did this in a smaller size for her youngest, it's a pattern by Veera Valimaki on ravelry.com. I did add a bit of fun to the front because I found it sort of blah, but I really like the pattern.
I'm getting pretty good at knitting and nursing ;)
I love the strong colours you picked for your knitting. I was reading a book about knitting for boys/men and how basic, non-complicated colours are best if you want your boy to love your knitted gift. There is a sweater pattern in the book I am thinking of making ...
Please tell me you are going to put the leather elbow patch on Anthony's sweather. I love leather elbow patches on men's sweaters and sport jackets.
